The Steinway & Sons Podcast
chessbrah
Chess grandmasters Aman Hambleton and Eric Hansen are principal hosts at Chessbrah, which serves up chess content and tutorials on the Twitch and YouTube Chessbrah channels. Chess has grown in popularity: thanks to the pandemic; thanks to streamers, such as Chessbrah; and thanks to the Netflix series Queen’s Gambit. Also growing in popularity is chess with tighter time controls: rapid chess (games fifteen minutes and longer), blitz chess (games three-to-fourteen minutes, and bullet chess (games under three minutes). Hansen and Hambleton talk techno and chess and what makes Magnus Carlsen the GOAT.
‘Chess has moved in a direction now where... it’s opened up and there are different ways of getting good... which is why we’re seeing tons of impovement across the board by the average player.’
