Little Mozart is an annual music competition, which is open to junior and intermediate levels for all instrumentalists, vocalists, and duets.The 2020 competition will be held from March till May, 2020. We will be holding competitions in various locations. This unique juried music competition for 3- 14 years old gives young children the opportunity to perform and receive their first applause.
The goal of Little Mozarts Competition is to encourage and motivate young musicians and make music a more significant part of their life.
There will be two rounds in Little Mozarts Competition.
First round – Audition: ( Live audition, or video recording submission) when the judges will select top students. Placing is determined by total faults and achievements displayed by contestants.
Participants may apply for auditions as many times as they like. One composition is considered as one entry.
Second round- Winners’ recital: First and Second Place winners will be qualified to apply to attend Winners’ recitals at Carnegie Hall Weills Hall.
Participants who completed the two rounds will receive a board Certificate at the end of the Winners’ recitals. Special scholarships will be presented with exceptional winners.
Little Mozart Music Competition is open to all instrumentalists, duets, ensembles and vocalists ages 3 – 14.
Participants will be grouped by age as of March 1, 2020:
I. 3-5 years old
II. 6-7 years old
III. 8-9 years old
IV. 10-12 years old
V. 13-14 years old
All contestants will play in one of the three categories Junior (Elementary) or Intermediate or Advanced
Registration is opened beginning January 1, 2020 until March 21, 2020.

- Solo Performance : $ 85 USD
- Duet: $130 USD
- Trio: $175 USD
- Ensemble of four or more: $50 USD per member
- Late application fees: $ 50USD

One selection (performed by memory) of any composer (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Modern) in Elementary or Intermediate Levels. We accept John Thompson, John W. Schaum Piano Course, Faber & Faber and Guild Repertoire.
Classification of Divisions: (using Royal Conservatory Exam Guidelines) Junior Division: Beginner to RCM Grade 4
Intermediate Division: RCM Grade 5 to Grade 9
Advanced Division: RCM Grade 10 and or above
Performance time should not exceed 6 minutes. Candidates will be disqualified at Round One.

First and Second place honors perform on May31, 2020 at Carnegie Hall, 154 West 57th Street, New York, NY.
Duration of music selection should not exceed 6 minutes. Performers may be asked to stop their performance if exceeds allotted time.
Recital fees
- Solo Performance: $220USD
- Duet Performance: $280USD
- Trio Performance: $340 USD
- Ensemble of four or more: $110 USD per performer
The Recital fees include one ticket for the performer and the competition diploma.
- All contestants must confirm their participation with payments before April 11, 2020.
- Every participant may order up to 4 tickets with a discount price of $10USD Additional guest tickets are $50 USD each
- Reserved tickets will be available at the Carnegie Hall Box Office in named envelopes 1-2 hours prior the recital.
- Additional tickets may be purchased at the box office on the day of the recital.
- Photo package fee is $100USD . It will include 5-10 professional image of performer on stage, will be delivered via a download link.

Final results will be released after April 5, 2020 online. Please log in the view the results.
First place and Second place winners are qualified to join the 2nd Round Winners’ Recital at Carnegie Hall. Registration can be done online after clicking the Register icon.
Note: Recital Fees are not refundable once submitted. No change of schedule once registered are allowed.
Please note that the use of cameras, camcorders or any audio/visual recording devices is strictly forbidden by Carnegie Hall administration.
Performers must be present until the conclusion of the recital in order to participate in the award presentation. No diplomas or medals will be sent via mail.
Spaces are limited. Performers are registered on first come first serve basis.
Students will receive board certified diplomas and instructors will receive a certificate of excellence. Scholarships will be awarded based on the Judge’s comment and performances.
All winners are eligible to participate in the upcoming International Student Exchange Program (SEP) hosted throughout USA, Canada, Germany, Austria, Russia and China.
